We are pleased to inform you that Captain Chris O’Flaherty, Senior Technical Adviser, Nautical Institute HQ, will be in Hong Kong on 24 August 2026 and will share with us information on the Institute’s advocacy and engagement activities at the IMO.
His presentation would cover an introduction of the IMO’s structure, and how we (as an NGO), fit into the overall IMO picture.
He would also share with us information regarding some of the ongoing policy and regulatory issues at the IMO, and hopes to elicit questions and our feedback.
Needless to say, this is a wonderful opportunity for us to not only learn more about the inner workings of our industry’s primary regulator, but also to share our inputs with Captain O’Flaherty.
